Twitter Advertising Gives 10,000 Businesses $100 in Free Advertising Credit

Some time ago, Twitter announced a new advertising service for small businesses.  Essentially, the service allows small businesses to promote their Twitter account to would-be followers.  You may have seen some of the ads over the past several months.  Below is an example from Alter, an independently-owned clothing shop in Brooklyn.

To get more businesses interested in the service, Twitter is giving away $100 in free advertising credits to 10,000 eligible businesses.  You can apply online for the advertising credits but you must do so before Friday, December 14, 2012.  For examples of how other companies have successfully used Twitter advertising, check out some of the small business success stories they have published.
